Christmas Party 2016. To add fun and excitement to this year's Christmas Party, a Masquerade Ball was held at Tamayo's Villa Immaculada in Intramuros, Manila last December 19. For this special event, all the staff were in their elegant formal attires, with matching masks to add mystery. Even some of the guests came dressed for the occasion. The historical venue, the rich food and the retro music provided by the UPLiFT Band made this evening a very delightful one.

2016 UPLiFT BOT Meeting. UPLiFT's Board of Trustees had their year-end meeting last November 17 at the Saddle Room of the Manila Polo Club in Makati City. First on the agenda was the presentation of this year's financial and operational accomplishments. The body was later joined by representatives from two developmental NGO's, Enfance Foundation (based in Manila) and Water & Life (based in Cebu and Cavite), both of which presented their respective organization's advocacies and the possible collaboration with UPLiFT.

UPLiFT Joins QC Trade Fair 2016. UPLiFT joined the Annual Quezon City Trade Fair organized by Sikap Buhay Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Office (SBECO), which started last October 3 and lasted until October 28.

Also, partner Diana Camiro (Marikina Made Shoes) from Quezon City Program joined the fair. The partners from the different Programs were invited and assisted by CBDS Staff Nimfarlyn Rosquites and Cheryl Rellama, in coordination with the Field Operations Department (FOD).

UPLiFT Opens its Rizal Program Office. UPLiFT further expanded its operations in CALABARZON area with the opening of its Rizal Program office last August 2016. The office is located on the 3rd Floor of E.A. Cortez Bldg at #87 Sto. Nino corner Sumulong Sts., Antipolo City. However, its first branch - Antipolo Branch, has already been in operation since May 2016 and is also located in the same address.
During the blessing and inagauration of the Program Office, Mr. Ed Garcia (BOT Treasurer) cut the ribbon to officially open the place. He was joined by Sir Ed Sison (Exec. Director), Ma'am Lisa Dingalan (Fin. Manager) and other guests from the Central Head Office to celebrate the momentous event.

UPLiFT Partners join Pistay Dayat 2016. UPLiFT Partners coming from the different branches of Pangasinan Program showcased their handicrafts and souvenir items in the Trade Fair event of Pistay Dayat 2016. Held annually, Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival) serves mainly as thanksgiving for the province's abundant blessings from the sea. The different events during the festival also reflect the beauty and wealth of Pangasinan's natural resources, as well as, the artistry of its people. This year's festival began last April 22 and lasted until May 02.

Training/Workshop on BIJLI Software (Batch 2). The BIJLI Training/Workshop for the 2nd Batch of participants was held at KLIR Waterpark Resort in Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan last July 22 to 23. Present were the FAS, HOE, AM & BMs from the Programs of Bulacan, Bataan, Pangasinan and Tarlac. Aside from familiarizing the participants with the features of BIJLI, the event was also able to gather different inputs from the users on how to further improve the software, especially on reports generated.

Training/Workshop on BIJLI Software (Batch 1). The 1st batch of participants, which included the FAS, HOE, AM & BMs from the Programs of Camanava, Cavite, Manila, Quezon City & Rizal, had their training/workshop in Alaminos City, Pangasinan last June 30 to July 2. The main objective of the event was to familiarize the participants with the features of BIJLI, the new MIS software to be implemented by UPLiFT. Afterwards, the group had the opportunity to explore nearby Hundred Islands and enjoy its many beaches.

Commitment Building Workshop for Cavite Program. The entire staff of Cavite Program participated in a Commitment Building Workshop held at Paradiso Terrestre, along Molino Road in Bacoor, Cavite last June 17-18. The activities focused mostly on the importance of commitment, which would lead to better team work within the Program, as well as, provide better client satisfaction.

UPLiFT Trains PLDT Staffs. PLDT's EmpRel tapped UPLiFT's CBDS to conduct a series of alternative livelihood trainings for their personnel held at PLDT Innolab in Mandaluyong last May 21 & 28. On their first Saturday session, the participants were taught how to cook popular Asian Food and also how to make Paper Crafts from recycled materials. The topics during the last Saturday session included baking easy Pastries and making Hygienic Products that are typically used at home.

UPLiFT Team Building 2016. For this year's summer getaway, the entire organization headed south to Makiling Highlands Resort in Pansol, Laguna last May 5-6. The first day was spent entirely on various team building activities. It started with the Inter-Program Cheerdance Competition in the morning, followed by the Inter-Color Water Games Tournament in the afternoon and ended with the Inter-Program OPM Music Jam Competition in the evening. On the second day, everyone had fun swimming in the pools and exploring the resort's mini-forest.

UPLiFT Awarded Outstanding MFI Partner by PCFC. PCFC has chosen UPLiFT as one of its Outstanding MFI Partners during the celebration of its 20th foundation anniversary held last September 11, 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City. The awardees were selected because of their significant contributions to PCFC’s success for the past 20 years.

Christmas Party 2015. This year's Christmas Party was held at the Ramada Hotel in Binondo, Manila last December 11. The theme of the event was "A Brighter Christmas... Achieved!!!", celebrating the blessings received after a year of dedicated work. This was also an opportunity to once again recognize the outstanding performance of individuals and groups in the organization, that continue to serve as inspiration to the rest of the staff. To add excitement, an inter-program "A Capella Choir Singing Contest" was held during the event, much to the delight of everyone.
