The rainy season here in the Philippines brings refuge from the summer heat, but for coastal communities like Brgy. Victoria in Alaminos, Pangasinan, also brings trash and debris along its shoreline, especially after a heavy storm. UPLiFT, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Alaminos City, has organized a Coastal Cleanup in the area last July 8, 2022.
The entire staff of the Pangasinan Program participated in the event. They were joined by UPLiFT Partners from Alaminos Branch, as well as representatives from the barangay. Aside from this Coastal Cleanup, UPLiFT had previously organized a Mangrove Tree Planting activity last February of this year in Brgy. Pangapisan also in Alaminos.
