Plaque of Appreciation to UPLiFT for its commitment and dedicated service for the advancement, dignity and rights of women.

Given on the 12th day of March 2015 during the GAD Women’s Month Celebration of the Senate Electoral Tribunal in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Enrico Fojas, an UPLiFT Partner from Hagonoy, Bulacan, won the 2013 National Award during the 11th year of the Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards. Mr. Fojas started with UPLiFT in August 2008 with an initial loan of PhP5,000 to finance his business called Cookie Mill Feeds. At present, he is now known to be one of the biggest suppliers of cookie mill feeds in Hagonoy and other nearby municipalities of Bulacan.

During the awarding ceremony held last December 3 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Fojas received a trophy, PhP200,000 in cash, a laptop, a training scholarship and an insurance policy as prizes.

UPLiFT, being the partner MFI, received a Certificate of Recognition.

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) recognizes UPLiFT as an ARTSZONE (Advocate Right to Safety ZONE for children), committed to promoting positive discipline in our community by upholding children’s rights, recognizing children’s evolving capacity and creating a nurturing environment for the children under our care.

Sherlita Abisan, a partner from CAMANAVA – Catmon Branch, together with her husband Ramon have been chosen as one of the semi-finalists in the 2011 CITI Microentrepreneur of the Year Awards – Masikap Category. With the additional capital they borrowed from UPLiFT, the couple was able to expand their production of wooden folding chairs with the purchase of additional tools and equipment. Their home-based micro- enterprise now employs 5 carpentry staffs and 10 sales staffs.

As a semi-finalist, Sherlita received a certificate of recognition given last September 27, 2011 in Makati City.

UPLiFT is being recognized by the Office of the Mayor of Quezon City and by Sikap Buhay Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Office, as one of their Puhunang Pangkaunlaran ng Sikap Buhay (PPSB) Microfinance Partner-Conduit. UPLiFT has continuously been an active partner of Quezon City government in providing capital loans and saving services to SIKAP BUHAY program beneficiaries.

UPLiFT Partner Marcelo Garcia (CAMANAVA – Galauran Branch) of Caloocan City was chosen as one of the semi-finalists in the Masikap Category for this year’s competition. With the financial assistance he got from UPLiFT, Marcelo was able to expand his Garlic Chips production and he now supplies eateries in Caloocan City and in the province of Batangas.

The recognition ceremoy was held at Galeriya Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Malate, Manila last Novermber 18, 2009.
