UPLiFT conducted a Leadersip Training Conference this year for its promising leaders composed of selected Area Managers, Branch Managers and Livelihood Development Officers from the different UPLiFT Program areas. This was designed as a series of seminar trainings, with each series focused on different topics to strengthen fundamental leadership skills, increase decision-making abilities, improve supervisory proficiency and develop financial management skills of the participants.
The 1st leg of this series was held at Greenview Resort in Hermosa, Bataan. A total of 60 participants attended the event, divided into 3 batches (Batch 1 – March 7 to 8, 2024; Batch 2 – March 14 to 15, 2024 & Batch 3 – March 21-22, 2024). Mr. Edmon Sison, UPLiFT Executive Director, was the main facilitator and he discussed “What Leadership is All About” with focus on the “Characteristics of a Good Leader”.
The 2nd leg was held at Raven Resort in Abucay, Bataan, with a total of 54 participants that were divided again into 3 batches (Batch 1 – June 13 to 14, 2024; Batch 2 – June 20 to 21, 2024 & Batch 3 – June 27 to 28, 2024). Mr. Edmon Sison was the speaker for the 1st session and he talked about the importance of “Understanding Growth” while applying the “Principle of Bigger and Better”. The 2nd session, about the “Accounting Cycle”, was handled by Ms. Lisa Dingalan, UPLiFT Finance Manager, and Ms. Metha Mananquil, Finance Supervisor-Manila Program.
The 3rd leg was held at Pine Breeze Cottages in Baguio City with a total of 50 participants, this time divided into 2 batches (Batch 1 – September 26 to 28, 2024 & Batch 2 – October 3 to 5 , 2024). The topic for this session, “Strategic Business Planning” was facilitated again by Mr. Edmon Sison.
The 4th leg of this conference is to be scheduled sometime in January next year.
