UPLiFT celebrated its 30th Anniversary and at the same time its Team Building 2023, with a 3-day event held in Subic, Zambales last July 20 to 22. With an increase in the number of staff brought about by the series of expansions this year, accommodations had to be made in three different hotels in the area: the Subic Grand Harbour Hotel, The Subic Terrace Hotel and the Seorabeol Grand Leisure Hotel.
In the evening of the 1st day, guests and participants attended the Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Subic Grand Harbour where Service Awardees were recognized for their years of dedicated service to the organization. Several staff, both from the operations and the support units, were also honored for the exemplary performance of their duties.
The highlight of the evening was when Ms. Joanna Ongpin-Duarte, the new President of the Board of Trustees, was formally introduced by the Executive Director Mr. Ed Sison to the UPLiFT community. She took over the reins from Mr. Edouard, Miallhe who had served as President for 17 years.
The Team Building was held on the 2nd Day at the same venue, where participants were treated to a concert showcasing songs by popular OPM bands. Each of the 12 UPLiFT Programs gave their all-out performance in their respective numbers, but, it was the UPLiFT Band that brought the house down with their medley of songs mostly from the 90’s.
